About AvParts

Growing from humble beginnings in a garden shed to our airside warehouse at Hamilton Airport, we take pride in being one of New Zealand's few independently owned and operated aircraft parts businesses. Serving not only NZ but also the South Pacific and further afield, we aren't some big faceless global corporate with customer service bots.
We're real people. We're right here. We're AvParts.

Starting out as Hamilton Aviation Services in 2004, and drawing heavily upon our founding CEO Murray Dreyer’s unparalleled knowledge of aviation supply chains, AvParts quickly became the go-to for reliable hardware and sheet metal supplies, as well as hard to source components – particularly for agricultural aviation operators. Quickly outgrowing the Tauwhare garden shed, AvParts also rapidly overtook the new double garage when the Dreyer’s later shifted to Karapiro! In 2017 and with satellite storage facilities by then also on the go in Te Rapa and Pokuru, we secured the ex-Wishart Helicopters hanger at Hamilton Airport and were finally able to consolidate operations all in one place.

Following Murray’s retirement in 2019, it wasn’t long afterward that of course the COVID-headwinds hit and although the company faced a variety of challenges over the next couple of years it also celebrated some important advancements, including Xero-integration and moving to fully digital invoicing. With significant management changes taking place in 2022, the company sees a revitalised business approach and quite simply a return to AvParts doing what it does best: Providing top notch customer service, reliable backordering and genuinely caring about keeping you flying. Whether you’re a new or returning customer, we’d love to hear from you so give us a call today.
